Visiting artists often make presentations about their work, giving students the opportunities to interact with professionals. The gallery also serves as an important link between Simpson's campus and the extended community. All exhibitions and presentations are free and open to the public.

Ethan Edvenson is a Des Moines artist who creates mixed media drawings. Edvenson uses variety of media, textures, and design approaches to create layers of content. The exhibit at SCAD will feature some of Edvenson's most recent work.
